Our Practice
The Practice
The practice was set up in 1995, and has established itself amongst the local community and now provides dental services to thousands of people every year. There are five ground floor surgeries, operated by three dentists, and one full and two part time hygienists. it goes without saying that the practice is very well equipped, fully computerised, and with the latest camera and x ray systems. All equipment is either disposable,or autoclavable, in compliance with the latest regulations.
The Philosophy
The practice philosophy is purely and simply prevention. To create healthy attractive smiles and teeth, and to keep them that way, through quality care, regular check ups, and visits to the dental hygienist. In this way we can go a long way to preventing the majority of dental problems. Should the need for treatment arise, we are in a position, through our commitment to postgraduate education and training, state of the art techniques, ongoing practice investment, and commitment to quality care, to provide you and your family with the very best dental care available.
This practice preventative message is very much emphasised in regard to your children's dental health care. It is our aim to see that children registered with the practice reach adulthood with healthy teeth and gums, and a great smile.
Training
Everyone at the Sunninghill Dental Practice is committed to progress through training. This was the first Investors in People accredited practice in the area, indicating our involvement in staff and practice development at all levels. In 2000 the practice was VT accredited, which means that the practice has been approved to carry out post graduate training.
Professional Development
It is now a requirement of The General Dental Council that dentists undergo a certain amount of training every year, whatever their age or existing experience. The three dentists at The Sunninghill Practice underwent a total of over five times the GDC suggested amount, in topics such as implants, cosmetics and endodontics.
